Obituary of Mark Steven Putnam

Mark Steven Putnam, 56, of Secane, PA formerly of 75 Sturges St. Jamestown, NY passed away at 5 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA. Mark had been fighting a courageous battle with H1N1 with many complications since Feb. 13, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ and finally at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Mark was born in Jamestown, NY on November 17, 1954 the son of Ronald H. Putnam and the late Beverly A. Johnson Putnam. He was a 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1973 to 1977. He served a tour of duty at Ubon Royal Thai Airbase in Thailand as a sergeant in communications. He worked for MRC in Jamestown and Gainesville, GA, and finally at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ, as head of their computer department. Surviving are his father Ronald H. Putnam of Jamestown, his wife Marina Senko of Secane, PA, a son Adam (Carrie) Putnam of Woodbridge, VA, a daughter Leann Putnam of Long Island, NY, a step-daughter Jane (Evan) Clemmer of Telford, PA and a brother David R. Juhl of Jamestown, NY. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Ann Johnson Putnam, his grandparents George H. Putnam, Hazel Swanson Putnam, Seibert M. Johnson and Bertha Zinger Rupp Johnson. A memorial service will be announced by the Lind Funeral at a later date.
