My Dear Friend,Libby. What a truly unique and special person! How she loved to sing her favorite song "Yes, Jesus Loves Me." I'll never forget her lovingkindness, her beautiful smile, her great sense of humor. We had such fun together. One day we'll meet again in the presence of Jesus - What a day of rejoicing that will be!

I just wanted to say that "Libby" was much more than a friend of the church family that I loved so well. I was also a girlfriend of her SON Jon Bailey many years, and at many different times. She was like a mother to me, and I could always come to her with all my thoughts, and problems as an Adolescent Teenager. She would always welcome me into her home with open arms.
We went on many trips together as a Church family... The best memory of a trip that I have is one in which we were driving to a Convention for the weekend, and the Cadillac blew out a tire. I changed the changed the tire, because no one else in the car knew how to do so.. I think I still have pictures from this as well...
R.I.P "LIBBY" you will be missed and we all know that you are in a better place.
My Condolences go out to the whole family......

I also remember Libby from Abundant Life Church of God from so many years ago. Libby was a faithful member, always loving and caring and helping in any way she could. She loved the Lord and extended that love to all! God Bless her as she rest in Him!

Many years ago, I decided to visit a church called the Abundant Life on Baker Street Ext. I didn't know a soul when I got there, so I choose a seat in the back of the church and sat down quietly. A few minutes later a woman approached me and warmly greeted me and asked if I was alone. I said that I was and she asked me to come and sit with her. She seemed genuinely interested in me and was very warm and friendly to me. She made me feel welcome - like I was a part of the church. Then, after the service she took me up and introduced me to the pastor and then she introduced me to a friend of hers(Mary) . She asked me to join them for brunch at a local restaurant after church. I think it was Denny's back then. I joined Libby and Mary for brunch and we had a wonderful time. I didn't see her for a number of years after that. Then, years later I got a beautiful Christmas card from her with a long note inside. She wanted to me to know that she remembered me and was praying for me.
I will always remember this kind and sweet woman of God who had the courage to walk up to a complete stranger in a church and extend the hand of friendship. She was a true woman of God and a real witness for Jesus as to how we are all to treat others whether we know them or not.
My deepest sympathy,
Candy Ames

I remember Libby from so many years ago when she and Bud were part of our close group of friends. She was always smiling, loved her children, who were very young at that time. I remember when she wanted new wallpaper and since it didn't seem to be "happening" she had you kids draw on it with markers, I think that was successful. Many regards, Pat Slater (Mata)
