Kennie, Sue and Family,
So sorry for your lose, she was a great lady. My memory of her was when your dad and her came to the American Sportsman camp ground to visit. I believe I have some slides of that event. It was sure a great time and a great memory.
I apologize for not being able to attend Monday due to a terrible head cold that I still have. Saw no need to contaminate others with it.
God Bless and hope to see you one of these days.

I was so lucky to be her senior Life Aide. Let me tell you she did not want me their and they gave me the keys to get in but she never locked me out! We had so much fun at all the places we went TKs ,2nd Hand store and lately she did not want to go beause it was to much of an effort.I would pick up KFC she loved. It also took me one year to be able to throw a load of laundry in. Carrie saved me a lot she would say mom she is here so you do not go in the Nursing Home! She was wonderful to be with and always full of stories I loved to hear! I will miss her so much. Lynne

My grandmother was a special person and one I thought would stay,
I never dreamed the day would come that she would ever go away,
They say hearts dont easily break, but Grama thats not true,
the day you suddenly slipped away, my heart just broke in two.
Your walking now with Grandpa, and I know he will always stay,
I know he's happy to be with you, giving you comfort everyday
Pick a bunch of flowers God and give them to my grandmother,
tell her that I miss her dearly and that I'll always love her.

I have been very fortunate to have had Mary Alice as my mother-in-law for 33 years. She happily accepted Kennie's engagement to me, and and suggested to Kennie of hiding the engagement ring in a sugared Easter Egg. She also helped me by sewing my attendant's dresses for the wedding.
When I suddenly lost my own mother in 1993, the title of mother-in-law became a whole new role model. I've had wonderful memories of times we've spent together as Mother-in-law,Daugher-in-law and as Gramdma to Christina & Kennie Caryl, and with exended family.
And as she had lost her husband "Ike" in Aug. 1998, and we having comforted & supported her thru that difficult time. Within two weeks she was there comforting me when Kennie had his sudden heart attack while in Kansas City.
After 33 years of love and acceptance into the family, I was happy to what ever I could do to help Mom stay in her home. Add durning the pass week I was honored to stay with her, hold her hand to comfort her and to tell her I love her, and to thank her.
There will be a empty space with out Mary Alice in our day to day lives, but our hearts will be filled with her love, and our minds with precious memories of her. Suzanne

Mom loved garage sales, reading, doing puzzles, traveling, trying new foods, time spent with her grandkids, bowling (in the past),playing cards, and family events. Her favorite meal was at anyplace she didn't have to cook. Our favorite family meal was when she fried chicken and made chocolate Texas sheet cake.

She was my grandmother. She had a heart as big as the ocean was wide, and a voice to speak to it, as well. I'll always think fondly of the nights we sat up watching Johnny Carson or Flip Wilson.... evenings watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy... and afternoons watching The Price Is Right. It seemed there was always a garage sale she wanted to take me to, and we might have only gone with a few dollars, but somehow we managed to come back with a van full. I could always count on finding a tremendous stash of candy somewhere, along with Pringles, Coke, chicken noodle soup, sweet midget pickles, and Cheese Whiz. There are SO many good memories with her that I will always cherish and carry with me. I'm so very sad to have lost her, but I'm happy for her at the same time. She has family and friends who have been waiting for her to join them, and I'm sure she missed them as much as they have missed her. Who knows... maybe there's Bingo and garage sales in heaven. And if there are, I know that's where she'll be found, trying to talk someone down to a quarter on a pair of pants that she simply MUST have. I love you Grandma, and the world is a little emptier without you in it, but my heart is full of memories of you, and my life is better having had you share it. I will miss you, and someday I'll see you again. Rest in peace.

She was my Great Grammie and I always enjoyed was my Great Grammie and coming to New York every summer to visit her and my aunt Carrie and my Grammie. She loved garage sales and we would always go to a few every summer. She had the coolest things in her house and would always let my siblings and I play with them. She had some of the coolest hats I've seen in my life and always had a brand new one every time we came to visit. It wont be Camp Whatever without her.
