We have lost our rock. Elsie Johanna Johnson left us this morning, October 2, 2011 at 94 years old. Her influence on those around her was untold, the number of lives she touched uncountable, and the love she shared with her family unending and immeasurable. She was the matriarch and figurehead of our family, and leaves behind shoes too big for a hundred people to fill. I love you more than I can say, and I will miss you more than anyone can imagine.

Grandma Elsie was my sitter for several years for my daughters, Lindsey and Ashley. She did a great job with them and potty trained Ashley, which was a huge help. She was always neat and clean, and well organized. I really appreciated what a great care giver she was. It is a good feeling to leave your child with someone that you trust. Thanks Elsie.

Well, where to begin.... To all of EJ's family, our most sincere condolences. Elsie was one of our oldest & longest riding Bingo passengers, and oh how she loved that game!! I will treasure all of the time I got to spend with her, she was a good listener, very opinionated & her humor was contagious!!! She gave me a gift of one of her crocheted afghans. I will remember her fondly each & every time I use it... RIP my friend, we love you...

Barb, Don and family.... I am so sorry to read of Elsie's passing. I remember so vividly driving down the road & Ron flagging us down to tell my mom & I about your dad's passing...I didn't realize until I was an adult how your mom had to struggle during those years, yet she always kept her sense of humor. No one could ever forget Elsie's laugh!! Barb, remember the hug that we shared at the hospital when my youngest granddaughter was born...well I am giving that to you again.. Love & thoughts from N.C. to the Johnson clan.
