I met Hildegard this summer at Holy Cross Cemetery, our paths crossed about 7 PM when she asked me to help her with the pot of flowers she was putting on her husband's grave. We talked for about an hour & she told me she used to live in Dayton, so I said, "you must know where Markhams is then", to which she replied no. I couldn't understand how she wouldn't know Markhams since they're right beside each other. She then said to me, "you're talking about Dayton Ohio, right"? to which I replied, "no, Dayton, NY". Anyways, we got a good laugh out of that!!
I followed her out of the cemetery to make sure she didn't have any car problems, and that was the last time I saw her!
I was sorry to see she had died, she was a very sweet woman and I really enjoyed our conversation!
My Deepest Sympathy to her family and friends! May she Rest In Peace forever!
