I went to school with Doug at Southwestern. He was a senior and I was a Freshman. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. I know he has been fighting for quite some time. So now Doug, go rest and feel no more pain my friend. May God bless the family. R.I.P. Doug.

Daisha & Dustin, and all the Dilkers - Tanya just told me of Doug's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Doug was such a great guy, and from what I hear, fought a valiant battle, but then I'm not suprised. I know how much he loved his family, and I hope your memories of him bring you some comfort at this difficult time. God bless Doug!

We have known Doug as an outstanding parent to his children, Dustin & Daisha, and a devoted son to hhis parents, Doug & Marlene. In his last years of life these individuals showed outstanding courage and devotion in caring for their son and father. This will always be a lasting memory for me and he will certainly be missed by his family.

What memories I have of high school with the Dilkers! The house parties, the bon-fires, the laughter....that is what I remember the most....the laughter. Even after not seeing you for years you would give me a bear hug and it would be like we never missed a day. It doesn't seem right that you were taken so young...but, God had his plan...Bless your family as they fought this long battle right by your side... you will be missed.

I remember about this time last year, it had been snowing all day. After work as I was walking to the parking lot I noticed Doug had taken the time to brush the foot of snow off my truck before he left. This is just one example of the kind and genuine person he was. All the fun memories at the lunch table and his friendship will never be forgotten.

Helen Keller once said of death, "Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there's a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see." Dougie, I have faith that G*d has taken you to a place where you're no longer in pain and have found peace with our family and friends that went before us. We will miss you, but, we'll see you again, until then, I love you cousin, thank you for being you. ??? ?????? ????
