Obituary of Frank DeAngelo
Frank "Babe" DeAngelo, 65, of Jamestown, died Friday December 9, 2011 in Erie County Medical Center.
A native of Jamestown, he was born August 28, 1946, a son of Michael and Lydia Restivo DeAngelo.
He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1964. He attended University of Kentucky and later served in the US Army from 1966-68.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by National Telephone Supply Company, Cleveland, OH, as assistant sales manager.
He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
A childhood member of Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown, he joined its Alumni Association in his adult life.
He was a devoted caregiver to his parents for many years and enjoyed time spent exercising with friends at Jamestown Community College. He loved to travel, especially to the national parks
Surviving are his mother of Jamestown, a brother Marion "Mike" (Sandy) DeAngelo of Hernando, FL; three nephews Michael (Jennifer) DeAngelo of Rumford, RI, Mark (Renae) DeAngelo of Scotia, NY and Jonathan (Denise) DeAngelo of Jamestown and great nieces and nephews Laurynn, Lydia, Bella, Olivia, JonMichael, Siena and Luke.
He was preceded in death by his father December 10, 2010 and a sister-in-law Brenda DeAngelo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in St James Catholic Church. Rev. Darrell G. Duffy will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 4 p.m.
