Obituary of Ronald A. Francis

Ronald A. Francis, 54, of Jamestown passed away at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday (December 20, 2011) in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident he was born January 19, 1957 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Stanley A. and Allene Baker Francis, Sr. He had been employed by Acme Appliance as a service technician for several years and had previously worked at Chautauqua Hardware Corporation. Ron was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Club of Jamestown. Ronnie will be greatly missed by his many friends whose lives he touched on a daily basis. Though he departed young the memories will last a lifetime. "We only part to meet again"- John Gay. Surviving are his brother James G. Francis of Jamestown, seven nieces Jillian, Haleigh, Taylor, Shelby, Katherine, Carollee and Katie Francis, several great nieces and great nephews, his cousins Debbie and Skip Dean, Carol and Ron LeRoy, his uncle Don Baker and Aunt Kathryn Baker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Stanley A. Francis, Jr who died July 21, 1999, Richard W. Francis who died June 30, 2001 and his maternal grandparents Dorothy and Frank Brooks. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
