I will never forget her sitting up front of the church with the Sunday School kids helping them with the songs. She was right there to sing loud and do the motions to help them learn. At junior church this past week we talked about her and they all remembered her smile and her singing. She touched so many lives at our little country church in Kennedy, NY. She will be greatly missed.

I met Jeannie when I was on a Teen Missions team in 1986 and we visited Warren, PA a couple. We were a team of 11 young people from all over the world. We called Warren, PA our home away from home because the church family there showered us with so much love and treated us like their own kids. Zully(from Venezuela) and myself (Rudo from Zimbabwe) had the pleasure of being hosted by Jeannie and John on both occasions . We so enjoyed staying with Jeannie and John. I remember Jeannie as a I warm-hearted, generous lady who always had a beautiful smile. John was very young at the time but was such a gracious host taking care of us when his mum was working. I am saddened by Jeannie's passing, but I am glad she is in a better place. May the God of all comforts comfort all who loved and knew her. John and Rev Gerry my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was priviledged to know Jeannie for a very short time when we both worked for StaffBuilders. She was so nice and friendly. Even tho it's been around 10 yrs or so, I have often thought of her and wondered how she was doing. I was very saddened to see that she has passed, but she will continue to be in my thoughts as the very sweet lady that I once knew.

I knew Jeanne through my Mom, Lucy Penhollow, and sister, Angie Russo- As a child I remember my mom taking my brother, Roger, and I to PA to visit Jeanne's parents- "Oke". As an adult, I would run into Jeanne on occasion ( usually at the Living Christmas Tree) and she always had the biggest smile and hug for me! What a great laugh she had too! She will be missed! My sincere condolences to Jeanne's family.

We will miss seeing Jeans beautiful smile and being a witness to her ever loving joy for life. She was an amazing person and she will be forever loved and missed. I think Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best when he said "for every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness." I believe this is the way Jean lived her life and what a way to live. We will miss you Jean may you dance with the angels.
