Obituary of Nancy J. Anderson

Nancy J. Anderson, 67, of 18 Dearing Avenue, died Friday February 24, 2012, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown native, she was born August 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Frank and Rebecca Johnson Simpson. She was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1985 graduate of Jamestown Community College School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement in 2011, she was employed as a registered nurse by CASA for 10 years and earlier by Lutheran Social Services for 25 years. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and Jamestown Lions Club. She loved caring for people and enjoyed participating in the Relay For Life. Surviving are two sons Thomas (Joan) Anderson of Lockport and Timothy Anderson of Jamestown; three grandchildren Jonathan, Kelly and Sarah Boje all of Lockport; a brother Ron (Barb) Simpson of Ashville; a sister Judy (Jack) Anderson of Jamestown; a devoted companion Richard Ulrich of Jamestown and nieces and nephews Amy (Larry) Abers of Sinclairville, Cynthia (Russell) Mazzurco of Jamestown, Jeffrey (Molly) Anderson of Jamestown, Erica Simpson of Arlington, VA and Barb (Rod) Sweet of Falconer. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point. Rev. Jordan Miller-Stubbendick will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home.
