I was a former Student- however, that does not say enough. Chuck taught me to dream, to unleash my imagination, and believe in myself. His candle will never burn out because it is carried in so many hearts. Farewell my teacher, my mentor, my firend.

Charles M. LaPierre was my professor and later one of my best friends.
He was definitely the most influential teacher I have ever had. I would not have gained my Ph.D. without his encouragement and the great foundations he laid with his teaching.
I so sorely miss him.

Oh how I wish I had known of this loss before now. Mr. Sir I will miss you so very, very much, even though our contact in the last few years was by Christmas notes only. Chuck was the most influential professor in my life. A wonderful friend, a mentor, and a true role model. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for his encouragement and all he taught me about the value and honor of the teaching profession. Mary and I will keep him forever in our heart!

Chuck was my professor, advisor and director during my years at JCC. All those nights playing Monopoly when we probably should have been studying! When I was writing my doctoral dissertation, he helped me brush up on my writing skills as only he could! My 38 years advising students are a testament to his care and concern for his students. You were a great teacher! Miss you...

Chuck was so special in my life and my husband's. He was our English prof at Jamestown Community College when he was just starting his career, and he was a wonderful teacher. He also directed us in "Death of A Salesman, and we stayed close after we went on to 4-year colleges and Chuck went to Watertown.
I'm so glad we found him again a few years ago and renewed our friendship with him and with Bill. They were both wonderful people, and they've touched many lives.
I'll miss our visits with them in Bemus and at Popham Beach.

I knew Professor Charles (Chuck) LaPierre as a college student at Jefferdon Community College in 1981. Professor LaPierre was both my academic advisor and my instructor for English 101. His impact in my life was indeed profound. His patience, kindness, and exactitude as an instructor helped me to learn and grow as a student. Currently, I teach American history at the same college, JCC, that Professor LaPierre helped me to graduate from in 1983. His excellence as a teacher and an advisor continue to inspire me.I regard him as one of the most important role models in my life and try to emulate his professionalism in my own career.
God bless you Professor LaPierre.

A wonderful gentleman with a kind heart whose memory I treasure fondly each time I reach for the handmade recipe box Wyman and I received as a wedding gift.
