I just read W.S. Merwin's "Anniversary of My Death" again today, Mickey. Like you -- and like Merwin -- we were so surprised to lose you so quickly. It's coming on a year, and I still find myself marking events in my head to share with you. I wish I still had you here, dear, dear sis. I miss you.

Mrs. Murray was so kind to us when we were young people. She opened her home and gave us a safe and welcoming place to hang out, instead of roaming around getting into trouble. Her house was the place to be. A place where we were respected and loved in spite of the growing pains we were going through.

Mick, my heart has been so heavy these last few days knowing that you have been taken away from everyone who loves you so very much. While I regret not staying in touch with you after moving out of state, it's wonderful to see how many lives you have made brighter. You were always one of my great role models and I am sure you have had that effect on many! I truly have been blessed with a few guardian angels watching me and there is no doubt that you will be ever present in your family's life for years to come! Love Always,Laurie

Having known Mickey for more than 15 years, I always looked for her at the many excellent events and parties around Chautauqua she was in charge of, with her graceful demeanor and open smile. Each time we met she talked about her children and grandchildren, proudly and with such love.
Mickey, I will miss you and my deepest sympathy is with everyone of your family and your large circle of friends.

All of us at Chautauqua Opera are saddened to hear of Mickey's untimely passing. Over the last 18 years, her warm presence and wry humor have graced many recitals and opera functions at the Athenaeum Hotel. She loved Chautauquans and she loved bragging about her family which made her so proud. It won't be quite the same without her. Jay Lesenger and the Chautauqua Opera staff.

Oh Mick, you will be missed!! Work was always so much fun-you exemplified the very definition of customer service, and always handled any last minute change with humor and that acceptional drive you had. What I will remember most is the smile on your face and light in your eyes when you talked about Laurel and Sara and the grandkids. Your heart was always first and foremost with your family. Thanks for the adventures, the laughs, the stories..Chautauqua will never be the same. Prayers and thoughts to Laurel, Sara, Randy, and the entire family. See you on the other side!!!

My memories start in high school. We had great fun swimming at her home with our other classmates at pool parties.
Mickey was the spark of the party. Always cheerful and a great pal.
At roller skating our kids played while we remembered old JHS.
Mickey was a wonderful person. Although I've been living in Indy for almost twenty years I still remember their horrid experience when the tornado hit their home.
Tornados are too common here.
Please accept my condolences. I know she will be missed so much. Her home is with God now. God Bless you all who grieve.
Sincerely, Karen Stull Robinson
