Obituary of Suzanne E. Fratangelo
Suzanne E. Fratangelo, 64, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on
Monday May 14, 2012, in her home. She may have lost her long
courageous battle with cancer but she fought it with grace, dignity,
determination, and a lot of humor; just as she had always led her
life.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she was born June 29, 1947, the daughter of the
late John and Emma Miller Estu.
It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for
granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful she was. Above
all, she was absolutely devoted to her daughters and their families;
especially her grandchildren. She was a mother who always involved
herself in her families lives and supported, respected, and loved them
unconditionally.
She attended Fredonia State University, where she graduated summa cum laude
with a bachelor's degree in English.
She was employed by Willcare as scheduling coordinator for 9 years.
One of her true passions was decorative painting which she also taught for Creations Unlimited, Falconer and from her home for over 30 years.
Painting was not her only talent. She enjoyed knitting, general crafts and had a real passion for interior decorating.
Surviving are two daughters Lisa Marie (James Eberly) Fratangelo of Jamestown
and Kristen Jennifer (Matthew) Zampogna of Jamestown; two grandchildren
Amara Suzanne Olsen and Matthew Paul Zampogna; dear friends that she always considered her sisters in her heart Anne Carney, Georgia Ludwick, and Margaret Franko and her former husband, but forever her friend Paul Fratangelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home
where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount
Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750
