God bless you all, loved seeing this picture of your mom, she looked wonderful. Lots of fond memories of early childhood at the Hoffman's on Brook Street, sleeping on back patio, having dinner and doing dishes, being quiet while you all said your rosary at night when we'd have sleep overs.

Dear Karen, Cheryl, Lynn, Barb and Charlie,
I am so sorry to learn about Irene. I have so many wonderful memories of her and Lakewood. What a wonderful way to grow up! She was my mother's best friend while we lived there and certainly, my 2nd mother. She always had a smile, always had time to talk and care about what was on our minds. I can still hear Irene's voice! I hope that you all are doing well. I am sorry for your loss, but I thank you for sharing your most wonderful mother with me (and Nancy, TR, Jim). All my thoughts and prayers are with you. Trish Kubicek (Patti Campbell)

Please accept my deepest sympathy for I too know the pain of losing someone you love. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will 'swallow up death forever, and certainly wipe the tears from all faces.' (Isaiah 25:8) What a wonderful day that will be!

Your Mother was truly a very special lady. I was blessed to have know her. We shared fun times together...talking, laughing, going out to eat, watching her play with Andres, Carly, Gabriel, and my children too, and I even had the blessing of taking her to church. Words cannot express how heartbroken I am for all of you. Losing her is truly a loss for us all. I have been praying and will continue to pray for you all.

I am so proud of you grandma. Whenever I needed someone, you were always there. Thank you for sharing so much with me. You overcame a hatred you had, to become one of the most loving people I know. I've never heard you say one bad thing about anyone. I never expected anything from you, except your love. And the love we share can never be broken by space or time. Here today and gone tomorrow... And I realize that you are not gone, simply transformed. When I see the sun and smell the rain, and when I feel the wind, you are there...

Thanks Mom for being the best mother a child could ever have. You made our home a safe and wonderful place for us growing up. You were an amazing mother and wife and gave all of us many wonderful memories. You were the perfect Grandmother to all of your grandkids. I will miss you, but knowing your with Dad now makes me feel better. Dad was the love of your life and it showed everyday that I was growing up. My heart is sad and happy all at the same time. I will keep all the wonderful memories I have for you in my heart. Thanks for being my Mom. Happy 92nd Birthday on Friday Mom. Love you, Karen

My deepest sympathy to all of you! Mrs. Hoffman was always so wonderful to me when I was kid. I have fond memories of her at the house on the lake while she tried to divert me from being a pesty little Sister as I tried to tag along with the boys. She always made sure to say hello to me when ever she saw me in later years. I am so truly sorry for your loss...she was one of kind.
