Dear Jim, and Steven,
I am so sorry to hear that your Mom also passed. I read
Norman's obituary incorrectly,
and thought late was only referring to your Dad. When I
was searching the internet for
a phone number to call your Mom, I found her obituary.
Please know that you are in my
thougts and prayers,
Love,
Darlene McGill Schlather

Mom was kind and generous. She had a special way of communicating and understanding, always giving you what you needed to hear when life wasn't so nice. She could make you feel good about yourself when you felt the opposite. This was an amazing quality she possessed. Although France's could be self-centered at times and my Dad did spoil her, moms generosity and compassion, including her wonderful sense of humor made her the person she was, which I would not have changed for anything. She wasn't only a great mom but someone I enjoyed being with.

There's not to many people as blessed as I. For 28 years after I showed up in my dark sunglasses, I was one of the "chosen few". I loved my mother in law, as I've always new she loved me. That's so rare and so appreciated. Fran, I'll never forget you and the respect we had for one an other. I'll never forget you as long as I live. Thanks for sharing your life with me.

Fran was a wonderful part of our Local Lore program at Fletcher School. Whether she was assigned to my classroom or another, I always made sure I greeted Fran and talked with her about her family and our mutual friends. She knew everything there was to know about the early days of Jamestown. Her knowledge took her all the way back to when the city was referred to as "The Rapids." Fran was a wonderful lady. I will always remember her high level of professionalism and her love for her family.

My memories of Fran all take place in their living room. Sitting next to Sara on the couch in a room full of our friends listening to Fran Wax Poetic about this and that, teaching us life's lessons. She never called me by my first name it was always Cordosi. She was by no means conventional. She was exceptional, she was hilarious, & she was my friend. I loved her.
