I remember many days of Dean dancing with us to the Chipmunks, swimming with us in the pool, and of course the lunch box and the 4:30 whistle. He was a sweetie his whole life. Rest in peace, Dean.

Deb &family... I am so sorry for your loss. I regret that I was not able to come home this weekend to lend support. I would have been there if possible. Everyone's stories and comments are a true tribute to the happy, giving spirit your brother shared in this life. 'Short shorts!' made me laugh and I can picture him cruising in fancy cars with your Dad. God bless you and the others who were close to him as you comfort each other with these fond memories. Growing up, Dean was the source of so many wonderful memories. From riding on that 3 wheel bike down in Florida (and Jamestown) and letting me hitch a ride on my roller blades, to feverishly ripping through presents at Christmas, Dean always brought a smile to everyone's face within ear-shot. We love you and miss you greatly!

I will remember Dean for how good he made everyone feel who worked at his home. It was so great to be able to go to work and have Dean be so excited and so gratefule to see you. I will also remember myself, Dean and Drews trips to Dunkirk. It was just like 3 friends going on a road trip. Dean loved to listen to the oldies station, joke around with us, go to the pier and watch the boats and of course loved to go out for lunch. Dean was always so happy on those trips. I will remember our adventures grocery shopping, and our walks over to the rec building as well all the good times at fluvanna. I will miss Dean sitting in his chair and at the head of the table at dinner. I will miss the famous 4:30 Whistle! We love and miss you Dean. You Tell em buddy.

Dean had such an impact on everyone he came in contact with. I will always remember hanging out on Gilberds street – seeing Dean mowing the lawn and telling me “I work today”, sitting on the front porch in the summer and commenting on my “short shorts” always greeting me with a smile on his face – the celebrations at Deb’s, his love of a cold beer on a hot day and how proud he was of his nephew Matthew. Be with God and fly with the angels Dean.

Oh the memories I have! Where do I even start? The very first day I came to meet Dean as his new Service Coordinator back in 1999, he came out to greet me with his own notebook and paper, shook my hand, pointed at me and said, "Short Shorts, Honey!" It was November, I wasn't going to wear shorts! LOL Dean blowing the whistle, "4:30, time to go home!" Our trip to Syracuse, and too many more to mention, I'd fill pages and pages. I have been TRULY blessed to have had Dean in my life and he will missed immensely! Rest in Peace
