Obituary of J. Norman and Vi Herby

The family J. Norman and Violet Burke Herby will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Long time Jamestown residents, Norm and Vi relocated to Minnesota in 2007 to be closer to their son Paul and his family. Vi passed away peacefully in her sleep October 16, 2012 and her husband Norm passed away comfortable in his sleep 3 weeks later November 5, 2012. While living in Jamestown they were actively involved in the community and were long time members of First Congregational Church. Norm was involved in politics for many years having served on the Jamestown City Council and Chautauqua County Legislature and Vi was his ardent supporter.
