Roger and Beth, We were saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing. She is such a wonderful person. We miss the times we spent at auctions talking to you and comparing notes. We had to retire from that due to Gary's illness and recovery, but miss the friends we made while doing that. God Bless you both you are in our hearts.

Roger, Lori and Beth - I'm so sorry for your loss. Marilyn was such a beautiful person. I met Marilyn when we both worked at the High School. We quickly became very good friends. In her position at the school, she cared deeply about the students she worked with... one of my sons one of those that she gave special attention and encouragement. On a personal level, we loved sharing family stories and favorite recipes... Marilyn even sending me special Swedish cookie ingredients I couldn't get in Florida when I moved away. (Now living in Houston, TX near son, Scott, as of Apr 2011.) Again, I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

What a wonderful person, and what a wonderful neighbor! We will always remember frequent chats while on the sidewalk on Woodworth Ave about our respective "canine companions." And, more than that, we will remember Marilyn for the caring, compassionate person she was.

Marilyn was a genuinely nice person and it was great fun to share her knowledge of our family history. She had the most important link in finding and re establishing a connection with our Swedish relatives.

I will always remember Marilyn as a very "sweet" lady just as she was the sweet girl that I sat next to during our Acapella class in Jamestown High School. I also had occasion to know her and to become familiar with her competence as a teacher's aide. We have remained good friends, together with my wife Sylvia, (her classmate) and her husband Roger, throughout the years. Sylvia's friendship with Mayilyn began in grade school We are keenly aware, as are her family and friends, that Marilyn would have celebrated her 79th birthday today, Jan. 9th. So we say " Happy Birthday Marilyn."

We will miss you very much. We have so many memories of the the times we have spent together. We enjoyed our lunches together either at your house with Lori and Beth, my house and Lori's. I will always cherish them. We never forgot to take pictures so I have many of them to look at and cherish. You and the girls always had the most interesting things and we loved seeing them. You have a very special family and the nicest daughters I know. We love you and you will always be in our thoughts. We love you.

I was so shocked and saddened to read of the passing of Marilyn. She was such a kind and caring person. I have such fond memories of my neighborhood stops as a child to visit Roger and Marilyn. They were always so nice to me. I looked up to them, not realizing they were just newlywed kids at the time. I remember well Lori being born.
I will never forget that when we had my parent's household sale on McDaniel Avenue Marilyn told me she wanted to purchase something of my mother's in memory of her. What a nice compliment. They both loved antiques.
Please know that Marilyn is in our thoughts and prayers along with you Roger and family. She is with you now and will always be at your side. Such a lovely lady!

Marilyn was a great collector of wonderful treasures. We always loved our visits to her home to see her latest discoveries. And her home was always warm and welcoming and filled with Swedish traditions. Our homecomings to Jamestown will never be the same without her. We are so sad she is gone from us.
