Obituary of Marilyn H. Johnson

Marilyn H. Johnson, 78, of 61 Woodworth Avenue, died Monday January 7, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 9, 1934, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late L. Raymond and E. Hildur Anderson Morgan. She was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was employed by the Jamestown Public Schools as a teacher's aide. Her memberships include Bethel Lutheran Church and the Antique Club. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice Chautauqua County for the care and kindness shown to Marilyn. Surviving are her husband Roger E. Johnson, whom she married April 11, 1953; 2 daughters Lori (Mark) Nystrom and Beth Johnson, both of Jamestown; sister-in-law Elfie Morgan; nephew Craig (Deb) Johnson; niece Gretchen (Phillip) Milnes and cousins Betty (Frank) Traniello, Barbara (the late Owen) Cranston, Henry (Janice) Lindahl and Timothy (Irene) Miller. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Jack and Russell Morgan. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Adam Miller-Stubbendick will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 904 West Third Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
