In addition to her nephew (my husband), Roger Holmstrom, Ann is also survived by two great nephews and two great nieces (the 4 grandchildren of her brother, Claus Holmstrom). They are Kenneth, John, and twins Sara & Amy Holmstrom, the children of Roger Holmstrom.

Ann is my husband Roger Holmstrom's aunt. His father, Claus, and Ann were siblings by his grandfather's second marriage. He was happy to make contact with her again several years ago. She was kind enough to send Roger articles about his father Claus, who died when Roger was just 6 years old. She also sent Roger a thank you note that Roger had written to her over 50 years ago which she had saved! I also had the opportunity to talk to her. I am a recipe collector, and she shared her mazarin recipe with me. Roger remembers her fondly. I am sorry that I did not have the chance to meet her (we live in Chicago). We send our sincere sympathies to the extended family.

The pain of losing someone you love can be overwhelming; I too know that pain. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will 'wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more.' Anna was a great friend of my sweet Aunt Leona Brundin (Johnson). Many years ago, my aunt invited me, my sister and my mom to her house to learn how to make Swedish korv. We called her "Anna". She was so kind & patient & had such a lovely smile. I remember we made potato korv and meat korv and what a wonderful experience, along with those exhilirating smells of potatoes cooking and all that goes into making korv. Anna was a very very dear lady and I am so glad I could spend that time with her.

Mrs. Ann Lager was my patient for over 30 years when I practiced Medicine in Jamestown. Mr & Mrs. lager were a great couple & Ann was a real lady. She was always in a good mood & always smiling & very helpful to every one. May God rest her soul in peace. My sympathy to the surviving family.
