Germaine & Family, My deepest sympathies, Cousin Sammy (as my dad would call him) was the kindest man I've ever known, always smiling and joking. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. I'm sure my Dad (Ed Enciso) welcomed him into heaven with a hug and a smile. May he Rest in Peace.
We are sorry to hear of Mr. Castiglione's passing. I always had respect and love for him and his family. Wonderful example of giving and Godly people. I will lift you all in prayer.
I knew Sam for over 50 years. He was one of my best customers as I owned the Kendall gas station at corner of 8th and Monroe street for many, many years He was a great man. They only come along once in a lifetime. My sincere sympathy to you Mrs.Castiglione and family.
We are very sorry to hear of Sam's passing. Also sorry that we can not attend the services as we are in California.
We have many fond memories of the store, the best sausage in the world, cigars, carolling on your porch at Christmas ( not well ), and all the friendship and caing through the years. Peace.
Sam was a good man. I have very early memories of Sam at the store as I worked at 8th & Monroe(for Busty) in the late 70's and again in the mid 80's when I got out of the U S Air Force. May you be at PEACE Sam and may GOD touch your family in this desperate time of sorrow.
I lived on Monroe St. when I was a little boy with my Mom (Allene Maddox) and Sisters. I remember how Sam and his Brother Tony were such caring and thoughtful men. And they extended credit to us when we needed it. I know I must have tried their patience when I would pop in for candy frequently! But they were so cheerful and kind to me. God bless and keep them. My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Castiglione and Family. God bless and comfort you all.
Sincerely,
Dennis Maddox
