Mom, I'm still trying so hard to live in a world where you don't walk amongst us. Your girls have grown so much in the small period of time since you left us. Cora might as well be married, Karsen is engaged and Randi has come out of her shell! They all talk about you often, things you used to say and do, the dreams they have of you, the music that reminds them of you and their wish that you could have been here for all their milestones. I remind them that you are here and you are very proud of them, always!
My heart has yet to heal. Each and every time I look in the mirror I see you, people are forever comparing me to you and I find myself doing/saying things that would drive me nuts when they came out of your mouth.
It should have been me, mom; you had a zest for life, while I carry such distain for it. You had so much to offer while I was always finding reasons to avoid the world. I would trade places with you in an instant if it were possible. None of our lives can or will be the same without you Mommy!
I love you and not a single day goes by that the pain of missing you doesn't break me down.
Please Mom, find the time to wrap your arms around me at least one more time to let me know you're still standing beside me.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

My Lynnie
It is nearly a year now. Everytime I have tried to write this, my tears flood the page. I miss you so much that my heart just aches. I finally saw you in a dream and struggled not to wake. I am sure I will see you again. You are always on my mind and in my heart. Kisses to all up there!

My memories of Lynn are many and always make me smile. After reading Tim's words of her carrying the PotShot cartoon in her wallet made me smile and think of the 2 pictures she always carried. One of Gerald McRaney--Tim in younger days and Wilford Brimley--Tim in later years. :) The summer we spent together when the guys drove all over the country with the Drum Corp, the "anniversaries" we spend together as we sent them to the Nascar races. :) We always had so much fun. She was always the life of the party and was always making me laugh. She was so proud of her girls and grandchildren. She loved Tim and her family so much. The children she cared for at the school as a paraprofessional were so special to her too. She was a beautiful person. She will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss her so much.

I pray that there is really a heaven, because that's where you should be, you've earned it!! Rest in peace now, sweet girl, rest in peace. XO

Lynn, We will remain forever and ever Brother and Sister... I'll always remember the unconditional love... the closeness... the secrets that we shared. Many times we shared a home while other times we lived many miles apart. Regardless of which it was,our love and our hearts were always together! My heart is breaking right now. A sense of loneliness and emptiness lies within me. Already i long to hear your voice say those words to me as you have so many times through the years... "Joe, you're my hero."... I watched you lie suffering... Instead of crying out in pain, you gracefully and quietly endured it so as not to upset your Husband,Daughters,Grand Children,Mother,Sister and Brothers who surrounded you... In those final days, hours and minutes , i realized Lynn... YOU ARE MY HERO!!! I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH... PS. Went to your house today.. saw folks talking and drinking coffee..went to the fridge.. grabbed one of your beers and opened it.. thought to myself...I AM MY SISTERS BROTHER!!!

You were always the candle in the window, mom, I always new you were there for me. I knew I could count on you, I knew where to find you. I will keep your light alive, in my heart and I will share your life and stories with my children. They will know everything about you, your light will be passed through them. I try to keep my heart from breaking--because I know you are still here with me. You are my angel in heaven, the light in my heart and someday I will join you in heaven. I miss you, already. I love you-- always have and I always will.
I will close my eyes and think of you-- I will sing to my children the song you sang to Jenny and I:
Who's my little angel?
Who's my turtledove?
Who's my little sweetheart?
Who's the one I love?
My answer, of course: Me!
I love you, mommy.
Rest in Peace xoxo

It's funny how: I always have something to say, I can always put a pencil to paper and write a poem, I always need to have the last word in an argument... But now I can't get anything out that would make sense to anyone, not even me....
Mom, all I can say is I love you....
