Obituary of Lynn Swanson

Lynn Swanson, 58, of 185 Colfax St. passed away at 7:10 pm Monday (April 1, 2013) in W.C.A. Hospital. An area resident for most of her life she was born March 6, 1955 in Warren, PA, a daughter of Shirley Olson Vario and the late Joseph J. Vario, Sr. In earlier years she had worked for the Lutheran Social Services, Chautauqua Opportunities and was a paraprofessional for the Jamestown Public School System working at Bush Elementary School for several years. She will be remembered as one who loved to spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved to watch soap operas, play card games on the computer and loved her dog "Valerie". Surviving are her mother of Jamestown, her husband Timothy L. Swanson whom she married March 10, 1973, two daughters Jennifer M. (John) Thompson, Randee (Al) Greco all of Jamestown, five grandchildren Cora Lynn Thompson, Karsen Thompson, Randi Thompson, Rowan Greco, Margo Greco all of Jamestown, two brothers Robert (Tammy) Goodwill of Panama, Joseph J. Vario, Jr, of Falconer, her sister Rhonda (Scott) Stelmack of Pelham, New Hampshire, and her in laws, Alfred and Shirley Swanson of Gerry, NY and Pat Evans of Plant City, FL. Besides her father she was preceded in death by a brother Randy Vario and a nephew Scottie Stelmack. The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dana Douglas, pastor of the Pilgrim Memorial United Church of Christ will officiate. Friends will be received from 6-7 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
