Where do I start, you fought a long and hard battle with your illness and some days it wasnt easy for you and it sure wasnt easy for any of us to watch you go through it! You taught me the values of family and I could not of asked for a better person to teach me that. You were so proud of your grand kids and you were always there to guide them down the right path when they were faced with some hard choices. I was and always will be proud to call you dad you taught me that in life you have to work for what i wanted or needed in life and that nothing is ever just handed to you! You fought a hard battle for many years and when we lost mom that battle seemed ever harder for you to fight but now you are happy once again with her and that makes it easier for us to move on without you here with us, just knowing that once again you are happy and healthy and will be for eternity and back with mom whom you loved so much! You will always remain in our hearts and i know you will continue to guide us down the right road in life when we are faced with hard decisions. I will never forget you and I will always Love you for you made me what I am today! I will miss you terribly!! May you rest in peace! I love you dad now and forever!!!

Gordy will be missed so much by my family and all the kids in the church. With out Gordy many would never had a knowledge of the love of God. He drove the van to bring in so many lost children and show them they were worthy of love and a future. Gordy, you where truly an angle on earth and now you walk with God.

Gordy was a sweet and special man who will be dearly missed by his friends and family. His heart for people, and kids especially, was as big as all outdoors. He was the kind of man who just made everyone happy to know him. I am blessed to have called him friend.

Gordy was like a dad to all of us neighborhood kids, even our kids called him santa. He was a gentle man with a big heart, he always knew how to make everyone smile, and knew how to spoil kids. He was a big part of THE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROJECT.
GORDY,
As you walk with our lord you are and always will be watching over us like you did when we were growing up. Your gonna be sadly missed but never forgotten, you will always have a big part in our hearts. May you rest in peace.

Gordy was the sweetest, funniest, and the most down to earth person I ever met. Known as Santa by many little children including my own he will be forever missed and never forgotten. He is with his wife now and in no more pain but yet we still all feel pain inside. Love you Gordy.....Rest in Peace..
