Obituary of Gordon G. Fox

Gordon G. Fox, 59, of 28 Linden Ave., Jamestown, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 16, 2013 in WCA Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 11, 1954 in Jamestown the son of the late Edward J. and Louise Newton Fox. Gordon was a graduate of Jamestown High School and had worked at the former Crawford Furniture and earlier at Ethan Allen in Falconer. He was a member of the Busti Church of God where he was active in the Awana program, Upward Basketball program, and the Lamplighters group. Surviving are his two children, Richard Fox and Lisa Fox; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Makaelee Anne Robbins, all of Jamestown. Gordon's family wishes to thank his friends for all of their support, Larry and Holly Spontaneo; Charlie Klenke; Tim Oleshak; and Pastor Roy Ferguson and Pastor Scott Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jackson Fox who died December 13, 2009. They were married December 30, 1976 and reunited July 16, 2013. Also preceding Gordon in death were his parents, a brother, Richard N. Fox; and a sister, Susan Fox. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Roy Ferguson and Pastor Scott Smith of Busti Church of God will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
