I met Harriet years ago when I joined Chautauqua County Graduate Nurses & she was President of the organization. I soon became her Vice President & "right hand girl" & we enjoyed working together for the future of nursing.
Later, when we switched roles, I could always count on Harriet to help me solve problems. We would have many good conversations and I will always remember her as kind and caring, always ready to help do whatever was needed.
Unfortunately, times change and being unable to recruit new members to the organization, Graduate Nurses folded which saddened both of us.
I admired her for her service to our country during WW-ll and realized that's where she got her "spunk" and "prim & proper attitudes." :)
She often spoke of her sister, Lois, and how she enjoyed the time they spent together.
I am grateful to Harriet for sharing her knowledge and her life with me. She will be missed by all of us. God is blessing her greatly.
My deepest sympathy to her family.
Sincerely,
Elaine Crossley, RN
