Obituary of Richard G. Robinson

Richard G. Robinson, Jr, 67, of 2395 South Hill Drive, died Thursday September 5, 2013, in Buffalo General Hospital. A native of Erie, PA, he was born June 19, 1946, a son of the late Phoebe and Richard Robinson, Sr. He was a graduate of Erie Community College and was a Vietnam War veteran of the US Army serving from 1966-68. He was employed by Olean General Hospital as a respiratory therapist and earlier had worked for Associated Healthcare as director of medical services and Jamestown General Hospital as chief respiratory therapist. He was an avid outdoors-man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and sports. Surviving are his wife the former Barbara Landy, whom he married March 3, 1978; five children Michelle (Virgil) Judd of St. David, AZ, Kimberley Tobias of Jamestown, Richard Robinson III of Jamestown, Matthew (Rachel) Robinson of West Kingston, RI and Paul Robinson of Jamestown; nine grandchildren Brianna, Taylon, Marshall and Shae Judd, Brooke Tobias, Kayla and Leah Robinson, Uriah Duba and Dante Robinson; a sister Patricia Slater of Erie and two brothers Neal Robinson of Columbus, PA and Wilfred Bull of Bradenton, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Darrell Duffy will officiate.
