DAd will always be remembered by all for his great sense of humor and jokes. I think all of his children, including stepchildren, shold be made aware of something that was difficult for dad to do but opened up to me one night recently out on the porch in NC. He actually came right out and said how proud he was of all of us and of what we had accomplished in ALL our lives. GOd bless him and keep him.

Dick came into my life when I was 13 yrs old. He taught me how hunt rabbits w/his beloved beagle Chipper. How I enjoyed being in that swamp at Sunnyside letting Chipper run those pesky rascals. Then it wastime to deer hunt. Although I never killed a deer, Dick taugh me how to read the signs and I saw plenty of white tails. He never failed to bag a buck every year, and usually with only 1 shot. He taught me a strong work ethic with has enabled me to be in management all my life. I have many fond memories of my years living on the lake at Sunnyside. I'm sorry that I will not be able to attend Dick's final send off but to Sherry, Tom, Dan,steve, Dave and Lee, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love to you all Rick.

I was well acquainted with Dick during our high school days, and I was very disappointed not to see him at our recently held 60th class reunion. He had served as MC at many of our reunions and, with his great sense of humor, he was very good at it. Early in my marriage and while a college student he gave me a much needed job as a window washer. He was a good friend and a good man to work for. I have fond memories that I will hold of him. My very deep condolences to all the family.
