My name is Ryan Mastrosimone. My father is Robert Mastrosimone of Long Island NY, we are estranged and he was not a part of my childhood. His father (my grandfather) was Michael Mastrosimone. I believe I am related to this man. I know nothing of my fathers side of the family. Is there a way to contact any of this mans family?

I spent much of my childhood at the Mastrosimone houses and will always cherish memories of joyful times spent with my second family. I love each of you and am so thankful for the wonderful years. Phil worked and played with an infectious spirit that left an indelible mark on my soul and in my heart. When my children were old enough to walk, I couldn't wait to share with them Phil's marble sidewalk, that we all helped create with handfuls of marbles and which still makes me smile all these years later. There were so many memories I've shared, and Mary has continued to live in the light of her wonderful Daddy, whose eyes will always shine brightly on her. Mary my dear friend, you are a wonderful daughter and friend, and your daddy never doubted how very deeply he was loved by you. He admired you as you admired him. May he rest in peace and may your sadness be replaced with joyful memories of delight in his eyes for you and his entire family. All my love to each of you.

We want to thank Philip, our father-in-law and grandfather, for all that he has done for our family. His strong convictions lead not only to his success, but to that of his children, as well. He was very generous to those close to him, and we will miss him and appreciate the time we spent with him. May he rest in peace.

For 79 years nonno has had a special place in all of our lives. From siblings all the way to us grand children. Let this be a time to rejoice in his eternal life to continue be in our lives without pain or suffering. Nonno has crossed so many milestones in his life and this is just another one for him. You may not be here in the flesh but you'll always be with us in our hearts. We will miss you so much. But we know you'll be by our side no matter what!

Nonno was a great man from everything I can recollect, from stories to memories. I have a lot of good memories from him but I wish we could have created more. He is gone but never forgotten. I was named after him and I'm going to do my best to be as great as a man as he was. Love you Nonno

Dear Phil, I sit here with tears in my eyes with such mixed feelings. I know you are in a better place. I know that your suffering has ended and for that I am glad. I feel for the pain your family is experiencing but I know that they did what was right in that they honored your wishes. That is not an easy task but it is the true love that they had for you that allowed them to do so. Your role as a son, brother, husband, dad, father-in-law, and grandfather have not ended. Your perspective has just changed. I know you will continue to look down on them and be there for them always. You have instilled your values on your family and others who have worked with you and have been your friend. Thank you for all that you have given to us.
To the family, thank you for allowing us to care for Phil. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Denise

It was my deepest honor to have had the opportunity of meeting Philip and taking care of him through his times at LSS and his final days. His honor, courage, strong will and determination shown from within. We became more than nurse and patient, we became friends. He used to say how much he trusted me and it made me proud to be his nurse and friend. I will remember his love of family and the values he stood for. Your family is a living tribute to you Philip as they are all wonderful people because of your love. Rest in peace my dear friend. You're troubles are over. Know that you will be remembered with loving thoughts and fond memories. You were a one-of-a-kind person. I will miss you.

His passing is a great loss, not only to his family but to the community and everyone who knew him. It was my family's honor to know Phil for many years and his friendship with us and my father will always be a part of my best memories. On behalf of the entire Moran family we send out to his family our prayers, love and respect for one of the hardest working, best family friends we were fortunate to have known.

Uncle Phil, every time I came to your house I always like to look at the birds that you raised, you saw how they put a smile on my face and my smile put a smile on yours, you always said that you wanted to give me one. I will look at those birds forever and any bird that I see and I will remember you. Love Marisa
