My condolences to each of you and your families for your loss -- although I knew him only for a weekend, I appreciated his wry sense of humor and graciousness.

May I extend my deepest sympathy to the family. I was a classmate (1958)and email friend. What a gentleman always quick to show his delightful smile and wonderful personality and sense of humor. Al was such a wonderful friend was loved by all. When we worked on our class reunion he was always ready to help out when something was needed. He was a prince of a fellow and he will be sadly missed. We can celebrate his life as he is in a better place now. He was a good friend to all. Love and prayers to his family.

To the Moren Family,
Memories of walking and riding around the block as a child and making conversation with your dad will be remembered. And as time went on taking that same route with our daughter and stopping and talking with your dad just went to show me that time goes fast and we have to embrace each moment given to us.
This is not an easy time and I can not say that more time would heal the pain. God in His mercy is the only one who heals and is able to understand what we suffer from. My dad (Don Carvella) passed away in July of 2013 from a two year battle with Cancer. Time has not healed and my grief is still overwhelming. Prayer and blessings to each of you as you grieve in your own way. Be there for each other.

I want to thank you Uncle Al for being such a sincerely wonderful and caring person in my life... I will miss all your funny, interesting, and informative emails I know you enjoyed sending (lol) You were part of the "glue" to keep our family connected... You kept our addresses updated and started our family tree... But more than that ...you always kept in touch and kept our family close ... and we forever will be grateful to have had you in all our lives...we will remember you with love and respect for the wonderful man we knew and loved very much... That once short walk from my home to yours no longer will I take. To accept the fact that you are gone is something I hate to face. What a privilege and honor the Lord has given to me, allowing me the blessing of being Alan Moren's neighbor, but most of all his friend. Your warm welcoming smile, partnered with a laughter of its own, has filled my heart with memories for a lifetime and more. I can truly say that knowing you has made me a better person, a better man and that alone speaks for Al's character. To the family and friends of Alan Moren, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have no words that can express how truly sorry I am for the grief you must be feeling. Be grateful and give thanks that the Lord selected you as he has me to share in Alan Moren's life. I can honesty say God knows I did not deserve his friendship but will forever cherish it. Al, you will never be forgotten and forever sadly missed. Your friend Serling
