Obituary of Stephen A. Yuchnitz

Stephen A. Yuchnitz, 43, of 138 Alleghany Ave. WE, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the Emergency Room at WCA Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born July 2, 1970 in Jamestown the son of Michael A. and Gladys Bush Yuchnitz. Steve was a 1988 graduate of Panama Central High School. For over 20 years, he has been a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 112, currently working at Lamb Heating and Cooling. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Steve loved music, especially playing his guitar. He was a very giving person who would do anything for anyone. He was everyone's handyman. His last unselfish act was as an organ and tissue donor. Surviving besides his parents of Ashville are, a daughter, Jenna Yuchnitz; a son Jarett Yuchnitz; the mother of his children, Kristine Manwaring Yuchnitz; two brothers, Michael R. (Kristen) Yuchnitz of Ashville; Douglas Yuchnitz of Jamestown; a sister, Deanna (Simon) Swatt of Youngsville, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Steve's life will be held this summer at a time to be announced. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday February 3, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 35 West Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY.
