Barney was always a delight to deal with at the station and also a delight to know as a person. May God's love surround you all during this time.

Barney was a neighbor years ago when I was a still living at home with my parents. As a youngster I used to walk down to the gas station to get a soda from the machine and chat with him. As a teenager when I started to drive, Barney always looked out for me and made sure I changed my oil regularly and checked all the other necessary things a young girl has no clue about. When I left town during my later years of college, I realized how much I relied on him each time something happened to my car. He always smiled and helped. It takes a community to raise a child, and he helped to raise me. RIP

Barnie was one of the greatest WCA volunteers ever! He was always smiling and teasing, bringing others to smile too. Whenever I would see him at work, we always had great conversation. His spirit will live on in the hallways of WCA and in my heart too. Sympathy to his family.

I grew up right next to the gas station on Forest Ave. I think I have known Barney for pretty much my whole life. I don't ever remember not knowing him. He was always so friendly. I seen Barney not to long ago at Tops in Falconer. I said hi to him and he said hi right back! I then asked him if he knew who I was. I was so shocked he knew exactly who I was.... :)he will be sadly missed!

Aunt Carolyn, Barb, and Sue--so sorry.
The best memories I have of Uncle Barney are from my childhood--I remember holidays and his love of the children. I remember bouncing on his knee (really!) and his laugh was so authentic. I can hear his raspy voice in my head right now as I think of him.
Looking back now, I realize how tough my Uncle Barney really was. World War II vet, citizen, successful businessman, and most of all devoted and loving family man.
He will be missed greatly by those who love him and those who he has touched over a well-lived life. We are all better for having known him and having had him in our lives.
Rest in peace, Uncle Barney...

My memories of Barney go back to when we were kids and he visited relatives in Conewango where I lived. He always had that mischievous twinkle in his eye. Bill and I have many good memories of your family at H.T. Barney's smile and greetings were an inspiration. We are praying that your precious memories of such a loving, caring husband and father will sustain you at this difficult time. God bless.

to the family of Barney. I am so so sorry for the loss of such a great man. As a kid he always watched over the kids in the neighborhood. I remember walking home from school one day and a bunch of kids were beating me up on the corner of Superior street and he came running out of the garage and chased them away and brought me over to the garage and gave me his hankerchief to wipe the blood off my lip and bought me a coke out of the machine outside and sat and talked to me and my sister over what happened and then called our mom to come pick us up and from that day forward I made it a point to always stop in and say hi. My mother went to the garage for all her car needs. He would always come out and help the local kids with putting air in our tires he taught me how to use a tire gauge which I still use to this day. Today we lost a wonderful man and I am saddened bu his loss but I know I will see him again someday. but until that day comes RIP my friend. You will be missed by ALOT of people Barney.

Mrs. Edson and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your husband's death. I worked the night shift at WCA hospital and would always see your husband stationed out side of OR on my way to leave in the morning. No matter what he always had a smile and a comment for me. Some nights it was his smile that "made my day". He will be missed!!
