Nina was my first Supervisor at Alltel and I so enjoyed not only working with her but knowing her. I have several fond memories of times spent with Nina in and out of the office. One of my favorites was racing to the door with her in the morning so we could be at our desks by 8AM and then getting the punctuality speech during my Annual Performance Review; I would just sit back and smile, I guess neither one of us was a morning person. Nina often road with me to and from work events and the conversations on the way were always entertaining but the most interesting part was that I would always have to buckle her because just couldn’t figure out that darn seat belt in my car. When she retired we roasted her and she was such a good sport. At the beginning of the evening she spotted Marie in a dress just like one she owned. When she told Marie she had the same dress Marie told her she had picked hers up on clearance at Wal-Mart, Nina about came unglued…as we all know she shopped at the finer shops in town and always looked terrific. Ernie must have known he was going to be in trouble for letting us wear her clothes that night because he wouldn’t let us have the coveted purple suede suite she owned. I moved from Jamestown many years ago but I never forgot Nina. I was sure to always send her a Christmas card just to let her know she was still fondly thought of. As others have said before me, Nina you were one class act!

I am so sorry for your loss. Nina was one of the first people who I met when I was hired in 1969 to become a Long Distance telephone operator.
She was always kind to me . She even came to my wedding in 1971 I wasn't working as a Telephone operator any more I was in the accounting department.
I will always remember her Beautiful smile.
I was so pleased to call her my friend.
God Bless you Nina.

Nina ( Aunt Nina ) had become such a part of our life, as in her last years, she took her residence with my sister and her husband...Jim and Marie Fiorella:)
She definitely was family! So very loved. If you visited with Jim and Marie, you visited with Aunt Nina, its just the way it was.
Many fond memories remain in our hearts of our visits to N.Y. Nevertheless one of our favorite memories is when she came to visit us here in Florida with Jim and Marie.
I still cannot believe how well she did, traveling, different surroundings. We even put her in a bathing suit, all of us would sit in the sun near the edge of the pool, Aunt Nina just smiled and watched the kids play as we sat there next to her:) She was quite a Classy one wearing a large sun hat.
She never missed a beat, even putting her lipstick on, she could do it perfectly with no mirror.
She may not have remembered this trip, or that her family kept their promise and brought her to Florida, nevertheless she remembers it now, and she is shinning down upon Marie & Jim, all their children and Grandchildren...for each loved her so joyfully...and took such loving care and time with her.
Its hard to imagine our next visit to N.Y. without Nina being there, but we know where she is, and for that we have Peace.

Nina was my first boss when I started at ALLTEL - And I will agree with Marie and Karen as she was a classy lady and an amazing woman. She always brought a smile to my face when I would think of her. Though I haven't seen her for awhile, I thought of her often. She is with Ernie and they are in God's hands now. Nina, you will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to your family

I met Nina in 1990 when I went to work for Alltel. She was one classy lady and loved her job! We had some really good times together at happy hours, Christmas parties and her retirement party. We kept in touch on birthdays and Christmas, after I moved to NC then GA. Rae Jones and I went to visit Nina about 3 years ago, when I was visiting in NY, and she was still as sweet as ever. I'm not sure she remembered us completely but she seemed really happy to see us. May you rest in peace, Nina!!

Nina hired me at ALLTEL and was one amazing women. She was dedicated to the company and so sweet to all of us in the business office. At her retirement we did a skit were 5 or 6 of us wore her perfectly matched clothes (so Nina). She was so suprised Ernie helped us secretly get her clothes out of the house.
Nina enjoyed going to happy hour with many of us and telling us stories of the history of ALLTEL. We would all chuckle when she would struggle with getting up on the high bar stool at the Cherry Lounge (great memories).
She was a true friend and kept in contact with many of us as we moved out of Jamestown and started new careers with Alltel in Ohio, Georgia, or Charlotte.
Nina was one of a kind! We will miss you.

I have such fond memories of Aunt Nina. We spent so much time visiting there while growing up. We loved visiting her upstairs and Michigan Rummy was a favorite. She showed Lisa and I love, as if we were her own grandchildren. I miss those times and am saddened it has been so long since I last visited. You will always have a special place in my heart Aunt Nina.
