Obituary of Nina P. Boerst

Nina P. Boerst, 82, formerly of 72 Fluvanna Avenue, Jamestown, died Wednesday March 12, 2014, in WCA Hospital. A Jamestown native, she was born February 28, 1932, a daughter of Anthony and Angela Parasiliti Parasiliti. She was a 1950 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College. Nina started working at Alltel in 1950 where she held many positions, retiring as Chief Operator. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was a member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Eagles Club and Viking Lodge. She will surely be missed by all the people that were affected by her life. Surviving are two sisters, JoEllen Mancari of Rochester, NY; Susan Fiorella of Jamestown; and nieces and nephews David Mancari, Judy Schnitzler, Timothy (Denise) Mancari, Richard Mancari, Cyndi (J.P.) Lundquist, Michal Wigley, Mary Beth (Mike) Perkins, Barbara Robinson, Brian (Sue) Landy, Janet (Foad) Alvandi, James (Marie) Fiorella with whom she made her home; and several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest Boerst, whom she married April 24, 1954 and who died August 22, 2001; two sisters Angeline Landy and Mary Sorvelli; brother-in-laws James Fiorella, Vincent Landy, Sam Mancari, Gerald Sorvelli; and nephew Daniel Sorvelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake service will be led at 1:45 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
