During my visit to Jamestown a couple of years ago, I had the privilege of working with Carol at the Marvin House. On Wednesday mornings when we served the Rotarians breakfast, we would talk about the by gone days of Jamestown. One morning she treated her grandson, Spencer, to potato chips. I got such a kick out of that. Carol was an amazing woman that pressed forward, living life to the fullest for as long as she was able. I am happy to have known her and to have spent time with her.

I met Carol through the Living Christmas Tree. What a dedicated lady! She knew just what to do to make things perfect. Always using the JOY philosophy - Jesus, others, yourself. She was a kind and loving person. She is in the heavenly tree now singing her heart out. She will be greatly missed by all. God blessed her family with such an awesome woman. Prayers to the family.

Scott, Gary and Lisa. I remember your mother and father fondly especially when I was growing up through our younger years. They always had a good thing to say and were always a pleasure to just sit and chat with, whether it was your mom at the hospital or your dad walking a beat or at the ball field. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I'm so sad to hear about my friend, Carol..she was a special lady and I will miss her. We shared many years together on the hospital board and I highly respected her and valued her opinions. She chose nursing as a career and her compassion made that a perfect fit. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

My good friend and former colleague Carol. I will never forget our times as faculty at the WCA Hospital School of Nursing in the 50's before we each went our own way in the field of nursing. You are one of those friends who, even though separated by many miles, could pick up our friendship in a moment over a cup of coffee. I have great memories of your mom's hospitality and your strong Christian faith. Rest in peace.

I have actually never met Carol in person, but I am currently one of the administrative nurses at WCA hospital, so I spoke with her often. She was always so kind when I would call and very often knew the family that I was calling about and would tell me short stories about them.
The thing that I will remember always about Carol was almost 2 years ago, my daughter, who was 8 years old at the time, became very ill. She was in Buffalo and we weren't sure she would make it. After she recovered and I came back to work, I had to call Carol in the middle of the night. Before I could say anything, she stopped me and asked how my daughter was and to tell me that she had been praying for her. I don't even know how she knew that my daughter was so ill, but I thank the Lord above for her prayers for someone she really didn't know very well.
I have missed her voice these last several months and my thoughts and prayers are with the family now.

To the Kindberg and Lind families, When we think of Carol the words of Proverbs 31:10-31 come to our minds. Carol certainly was a virtuous woman who cared not only for her family but for her friends, church and community. She will be greatly missed but leaves a wonderful legacy. May God comfort you as only He can do.
