Mom,
Thank you for always listening without judging. I could tell you anything, and it stayed with you. Thank you for always being proud of me, no matter what the circumstances. Thank you for making me a little schoolroom with my dollies, desk, and chalkboard when I was only 5 to instill in me that desire to be a teacher that I am today. Thank you for leading me to Jesus as a young child by reading me Bible stories, making sure I went to church, Sunday school, and VBS, and kneeling beside my bed to say my prayers. Growing up and through the years, did you know that I could hear you at times crying out to Jesus? This confirmed that what you were trying to teach me about Him was true (if Mommy prays to Him when she's alone, then He must be real!). Mom - we know God answers prayers in HIS time, and you had to wait quite awhile. But I believe he finally answered your prayers on the evening of July 20th. And as I made you promise me that you would say your prayers every day or night (no matter what weaknesses were present or obvious) I, too, am going to keep that promise to you! I love you, Mom!
