Obituary of Jane Caskey K. Belknap

Jane K. Caskey Belknap, 91 of Bemus Point, passed away peacefully Friday April 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 28, 1923 in Port Allegany, PA the daughter of the late Cleaton and Margaret Tumser Thrash. While living in Port Allegany, Jane worked for Dr. Phil Carlson as a Dental Assistant. She also volunteered as a Grey Lady at Port Allegany Hospital. To support the war effort, she worked as "Rosie the Riveter". While living in Bemus Point, Jane was one of the founding partners of the Italian Fisherman. She was a member and volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Bemus Point. Jane was a talented painter, studying under Alice Chamberlin. She enjoyed interior decorating and collecting antiques. She will be remembered as a wonderful hostess and when you met her, you loved her. Jane had five children, two daughters, Caren (John) Woodhead of Lakewood Ranch, FL; Susan (Dan) Dalpra of Longboat Key, FL; three sons, the late Bobby Caskey ( his surviving wife Deborah Caskey Weiss); Cleaton (Christine) Caskey of Bemus Point; Shawn (Lisa) Caskey of Sinclairville; 13 grandchildren, Michael and Scott Woodhead, Ryann Fairweather, Danelle Dalpra, Dana Levins, Deanna Scott, Nicole Caskey-Weiss, Leighton and Riley Caskey, Brianna, Hunter, Alissa, and Jenna Caskey; eight great grandchildren; Madison and Mckenna Woodhead, Finnegan and Fordham Fairweather, Emma Jane and Koa Levins, Isabella and Lola Scott; and a sister Bernadine Kinney of Port Allegany, PA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert R. Caskey; her second husband, Leo L. Belknap; and her son, Robert L. Caskey. The family would like to give thanks to Katherine Martin and Jane's wonderful caregivers. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
