To the Fish Family,
I recall all of you often. We always had great fun in the summer, at Colburns. Doug was always ready to hit the lake for excitement and adventure. I recall when Doug would go water skiing behind our boat. Once he fell and lost his bathing trunks. My Dad just told him to stay where he was and drove the boat a short distance to where his trunks were floating . The trunks were returned and he was ready to take off again a few minutes later!
We all went our separate ways and our lives changed. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear brother. Doug was fun to have around and he is a person you loved to remember. I know your memories are helpful but your loss is difficult. My thoughts and prayers to all in his family that hurt because someone so precious to you is gone . I am so sorry for you loss .

May peace be with you Doug, and condolences to the family.
I will always remember the fun we had doing the veterans breakfasts at the Elks. It was an honor working with the pancake KING. You were also always my best supporter in helping round up deer hides for the veterans hospital program. You will be missed.

To my younger brother, Douglas, may you be at peace now. Love comes in all different forms but sibling love is a love with many, many memories (good & sad) which I will always cherish! There will be a void in my heart dear brother but you did teach me strength and resilience and for that I will always be thankful. Thank you for all the laughs and some tears that we shared closely over the years, especially the last 4. My memories of you will carry me through......You were one of a kind and will always be with me in spirit...I love you Douglas! Your loving sister Sherri

Doug, from the first day I met you on my deck when we moved onto the street several years ago, I sensed that you were a unique individual, and I immediately felt a connection with you. As a newcomer to Colburn Drive, your immediate hospitality demonstrated to me that my family and I had made the right choice in moving to our Shangri-La on the lake. That was confirmed the very next week when I had a winter emergency and you helped me and my family through it. You spent the entire day resolving my issue, and when I asked you how much I owed you, all you said was, “just say ‘Thanks’.” So thanks Doug. Over the years, I like many others, enjoyed conversations we had on a variety of topics. Everything literally under the sun was open for discussion, and I treasure those moments. I could always count on you for help, listening, telling a joke, laughter, and friendship. I miss you and I am happy that I had the chance to know you and call you my friend.
To Cindy, Matt and the rest of the family. I am sincerely sorry for your loss.

Doug was such a friendly guy, we remember him mostly from the Coon-Fish reunions. He always made it a point to sit and talk with Chris and I every year. He certainly loved being with family. Our deepest sympathies to all.

For the family of Doug I feel sorry for your loss. I will always remember the good times we had growing up together in the same neighborhood. As we get older we all go our separate ways. I had many laughs with Doug and shared sorrow. God speed Doug and thanks for being part of my life.
