Merritt and I go way back to the 50s and we were neighbors on Monroe St. when we were kids. Those were happy memories and I remember he was so full of fun and life. Still remember his wonderful sense of humor and his laugh. God bless and keep you Merritt. My deepest sympathies to his family.
Merritt Jobe was a close friend to my family I remember when I was just a small girl he was my babysitter and he would iron my dresses for me and my sisters, I was the youngest . he was a close friend with my Mom Pat Murray and my Dad Bryan Murray. I have missed him. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
Many years have gone by since the good old days of the Beechwood and Zayre. We have thought of you often over the years and remember the friendship and good times shared. Words are never enough to take away the pain; but in such difficult times we can find comfort in Jesus' promise to soon bring about a resurrection of our loved ones at John 5:28, 29 and 11:25. Our loved ones that have passed away are only sleeping for Jesus compared death to sleeping at John 11:11-14. God also promises to soon remove all suffering and death forever at Revelation 21:3-5. Sorry about your loss. Merritt was a classmate of mine and a nice friend. I often saw him at the Beechwood and we would chat about the "Good Ole Days". May I extend my deepest sympathy to the fa,ily.
