Sorry to hear of George's Passing. My sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones.
I met George about 50 years ago and we bowled and played pool together. He was a good friend and almost like a big brother to me. I did not know that he was a former Marine and maybe that explains why he always appeared to put on a "tough guy" appearance, but the George I knew was a kind gentle man and a great friend.
