Obituary of George Dimas
George Dimas, 88 of 18 Partridge Street Jamestown, passed away Wednesday November 18, 2015 in WCA Hospital.
He was born April 25, 1927 in Rochester, NY the son of the late Peter and Thomaidha George Dimas.
George was a WWII veteran, proudly serving in the United States Marine Corp for four years. Prior to retirement, he worked construction in the area for many years through the road and bridge union.
George was an active member of the social clubs in the Jamestown area.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Williams; and three brothers, Andrew, Samuel T., and Louis Dimas.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home.
The burial with Military Honors will be in Lake View Cemetery at 11 a.m. Monday.
