To the Gibbons Family: We are so sorry for your loss we truly know that Evelyn will be missed on this earth! She was truly a woman of God and we know that we will see her again along with Pastor Dan in Heaven and then we will all be rejoicing at that great reunion! She will always be remembered in our hearts and will never be forgotten she was like our substitute Grandmother and we will never forget everything that she has done for us! We will be praying for you all that God will give you strength and help you through this very difficult time! We love you all!
1 Peter 1:3-9 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

The bible says to rejoice when a child of God Goes Home.
I can only imagine the joy and rejoicing that’s going on in heaven,
Sister Gibbons will truly be missed down here, but I am sure of the rejoicing going on up there.
When the power of God would fall, she would kick her shoes off and you would see her feet fly over the organ peddles, truly a saint of God.

To my mother in law, Evelyn, You have been more like a mother than a mother in law to me for these past 33 years. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and support thru the years. I will miss our talks, jokes, and especially stories of the past. May you find rest and peace. I know you are up in heaven with Dan and your family. Give Dan a hug for me. I will always remember what you said to Dad thru the years, "Look at what we started". 3 kids, 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. I have been blessed by God to be able to worship with you at the Jamestown Revival Center, and New Life Christian Center thru the years. You have also been my spiritual mother as well. I will remember the many ham and turkey dinners, and Chicken and Biscuits you made especially for me. We will miss your great desserts as well, Pumpkin rolls, Cherry Cheese cakes, and your special white choclate treats at Christmas time. I love you very much, and will always remember your laughter, and smile. Until we meet again soon. Love your daughter in law, Lisa Fraley Gibbons

I always looked forward to my visits to Jamestown, not only to preach, but to spend time with the entire family, including Evelyn. She was always so kind, funny, full of compassion, and happy.
She was also such a strong woman of God because of her faith in Jesus! Because of her relationship with Him, we all know we will see her again.
I am praying for the Spirit of God to bring you comfort, strength, and peace during this time! May His love be poured into your lives.
Blessings,
Jere
