Prayers and love to Mr. Sam and family. I was so sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Joan. I have known her all my life as I would often go to AJ's on Foote Ave. to eat those yummy Texas hots. I can still remember the day (and I know many have heard the story) when I ran to AJ's for help after receiving a head injury. I ran in there with blood spurting everywhere, and she knew just what to do to keep me calm, love on me, and take care of me. She always called me crash after that :) I was only about twelve years old, so it was over 30 years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday, and always appreciated how she took care of me like I was her own child. I was so happy to learn later on that my Sister Tammy married Dave and I sort of became part of the family by marriage. Mrs. Joan never forgot me, and I will never forget her. Rest in peace my sweet guardian Angel. I love you and I thank you for being there for me.
