Obituary of Ronald L. Hodges

Ronald L. Hodges, 65 of Charlotte, NC formerly of Jamestown passed away unexpectedly Thursday May 19, 2016 in the Carolina Medical Center. A Charlotte, NC resident for over 20 years, he was born March 22, 1951 in Jamestown the son of Arthur L. and Dorothy M. Beckerink Hodges. Ron was a graduate of Jamestown Community College. For over 20 years he was a self employed contractor in Charlotte. He was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Charlotte where he was head of the prison newsletter and worked with their homeless outreach, Room in the Inn. Surviving are his father of Jamestown; Three sons, Scott, Steve, and Brian Hodges; his sister, Marcia (Jack) Sleigh of Jamestown; two brothers, Richard (Lisa) Hodges of Albion, NY; Daniel (Sheri) Hodges of Canton, GA; nieces and nephews, Amy Southwick, Jason (Ryan) Hodges, Kristofer (Tracy) Hodges, Camellia Hodges, Benjamin Hodges; great nieces and nephews, Matthew, Jacob, Aryn, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Elijah, Asher, Julia, Titus, and Jude. He was preceded in death by his mother who died May 7, 1990; and his grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday June 18, 2016 in the Chapel at St. Luke's Episcopal Church Jamestown.
