Dear Martha, Mark and David,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom, Pauline. I remember her as so kind and thoughtful while growing up and attending Gloria Dei during our school years.
It was always a joy to see her when I visited Lakewood, and bumped into her a when back home. She was especially kind to my Mom and Dad while Mom struggled with her illness. She left a legacy of celebrating others.
Thinking of you all! Sincere Condolences.
Rebecca

I remember clearly the day I met Pauline. I was 7, new in town, and shopping with my famiy for Halloween candy when we met this super friendly, welcoming, candy sharing woman. A woman who ever since that day completely enveloped me in love and kindness. Once while sick she pampered me with soothing lemon honey water and fresh delicious food- always healthy, yummy food on her kitchen table or on picnics at the lake, or river gorges dipping fresh picked strawberries in sour cream and brown sugar. Experiences with Pauline gave me a sense of freedom, curiosity, adventure and being unconditionally loved.
I will always remember her smile, her grace and her love for my family and me; that love once banketed around me is now in me. I so love and am grateful for the beautiful Pauline. Xo.

We will smile often in fond remembrance of our dear neighbor, who was also a patient Grandma to our noisy grandchildren, a cheerleader to our children, and a sharpwitted and listening ear to all. Sending hugs to all of you, who love this same lady.

I was saddened to hear of Pauline's passing. She was such a good friend to the
Kaye Olson family while we lived in Lakewood and Kaye served as pastor of Gloria Dei. We loved Pauline and George and considered them good friends.
Our girls enjoyed playing with "Marfa" and the boys. I am keeping all of you
in my prayers and heart and pray for God's comfort, peace and love in the days
and weeks ahead. Love, Elsie Olson
