To the family of Mrs. Kinney,
I wanted to express to you that Mrs. Kinney was one of the most memorable elementary teachers at Persell School.
While it was my younger brother who had Mrs. Kinney as a 3rd grade teacher, and I had a Miss Waite from England, her name became synonymous with the excellent teachers during the 1950s when I attended Persell School.
It was also a time when the teaching profession was respected by students and parents. Everyday at lunchtime or supper, my Mom would ask my brother "How was class today with Mrs. Kinney?". To often is the case where the student's thanks come to teachers too late. But however they come, please know your Mom touched many people's lives and it was a job she did well.
May you have many memories of Mrs. Kinney that stir the heart with joy and mirth.
May this time of sadness soon end and have give support to one another during this difficult time.
