Pastor Andrus has been a good friend and mentor in ministry for many years. I have appreciated his helpful and practical guidance It has been a joy to serve as a partner in service to our Lord as a missionary supported by churches where he served as pastor. His skills as an administrator set a high standard for others to emulate. I'm sure he heard a loving well done as he met his Savior in glory.
Cathy has always been a faithful and gracious wife whose skill as a hostess made their home a wonderful place to visit and enjoy a comfortable and memorable experience. I'm sure she misses her Kenny, but is looking forward to that grand reunion in glory. Praise God for the hope that we have as believers.

Mrs. (Kathy) Andrus and Family - Our prayers are with you all - and we are both sad and rejoicing together with you knowing that Pastor Andrus is now with the Lord at last - and seeing Him no longer through a glass darkly.
Pastor and Mrs. Andrus were such a large part of our years growing up in Bethel Christian School. Pastor Andrus’ calm, steady demeanor and faithful Christ centered teaching came to represent for us the very definition of a Pastor – The standard by which we would measure all others in the years that followed. And Mrs. Andrus teaching in our Bible Classes at Bethel Christian School belongs right next to Pastor’s teaching. She presenting the deep truths of scripture to us in such a way that our young minds could understand – and for that we owe her a great deal.
Pastor Andrus will always hold a very special place in our hearts and memories and our prayers are with you all now.

Dear Kathy and family,
We are deeply saddened to see that Pastor Ken passed away. It was just a few days ago we heard of his struggle with cancer. We know you're all saddened, too. Thankfully, we also know that his struggles and pains have been terminated and that now with Jesus, your beloved husband, father, and our Pastor Ken is singing like he never did before, and remembering how he loved to sing, his joy is now is far beyond our comprehension. Joy and I will be holding you all up in prayer during this momentary grief that will soon give way to eternal rejoicing as we join Pastor Ken in song and praise to our Wonderful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the Andruses and their families today. My father served as a deacon with Pastor Andrus, and Dad said Pastor had such a presence, you could tell he was a godly man as soon as he entered the room.
Aside from Pastor Fuller (whom I recall only as a very young child), Pastor Andrus was the only Pastor I knew at Bethel when growing up, and to this day is inextricably entwined with my understanding of what it means to be a Christian.
I still have the bible he gave me when I graduated from McDowell High School (at that time Bethel gave new bibles to high school grads, perhaps it still does), with his signature on a presentation form glued inside.
The glue is now yellowing and showing through the presentation form, but it's seen me through good times and bad, and remains the one bible among many I own that I would consider "my bible."
I think Pastor might be smiling now at all the bibles still being read that have his name on the inside front cover. There can't be too many nicer ways to be remembered.

To Mrs. Andrus, and the Andrus "kids":
Sorry, yet happy, to hear of Pastor's promotion to Glory. He was such a sweet man, faithfully serving the Lord wherever he was. We were one of the first couples to be married by Pastor when you came to Bethel in Erie. I can still see his thumb moving while he preached-sorry, it's a funny memory. But all of our years with your family serving at Bethel are special to us. We'll be praying for you all in the coming days.
