Nonnu, you will be dearly missed. I am sorry I was unable to be there and pay my respects as I was literally half way around the world. Thank you for everything you did for me all these years. I was born about 4 months before you married my Nonni and from the day I can remember you always treated me and my family so amazingly. The memories I have are countless but I definitely remember all the times we went out for dinner when I spent the night. I remember when I worked at the Celeron Gun Club and was loading clay birds in the machines during the big Trap events. I even remember us playing a couple of round of golf together at Willow Run.
In my business career you always were interested in Sales knowledge and skills since we both were in the same field. You were also the one who taught me at a very young age to use a FIRM hand shake when you greet people. To this day I ALWAYS use a firm hands shake. Not a dead fish shake like you compared it to. Next time I am home I will come see you at the cemetery. So glad I was able to see you one last time this past December.
Love,
Anthony

Nonnu joe this is a very sad week but your in a better place now really wish I could be there. You've raised me from a young boy tons of memories! We would always get up for breakfast and nonnie would make us pancakes and we would dunk our cookies in our coffee and watch the news on the little kitchen tv. You've Teached me alotta things growing up like showing me how to become a good fishermen we've caught hundreds and hundreds of fish and showing me how to shoot a gun at the trap club and it was always in the best way and the best fashion or the time you built me a wood car for the race at the boys club and it got first place. You were a great and funny man nannu you will be missed greatly ,Love grandson Matt. And Aleicha and my baby boy due this year

Dad Mangano!
How does one put 40 years of knowing you into words? From day one we had good times, long talks adventures, like the beer keg in the garage, golfing with Sam and Fred and all the new golf terms! My favorite, was forgetting to pick up Mom from hairdresser, yup in the garage! Boys did you get hollered at.You took both barrels and one of them was mine. Mom sent you and George the dog into basement.
The long talks you and Jeanne had, what heck you guys talking about for hours? Of course she would make one of your favorites, potato pancakes, like only a Jewish girl can.You would tell her Dad Sam that you would keep an eye out for her while in Jamestown, and you did.
The music, your life was full. You and Uncle Chuck playing at our wedding 25 years ago atGolden Nugget, and all the servers staying and listening to you two play.it was magic.
The stories are endless. To put this all in one word, that would have to be love! Love never fails and you never failed us!

The stories, laughter, beautiful classical guitar playing, danciing, card games, book discussions, gun talk, drives and explorations, boat rides, and tight squeezes... Of all the things I will remember about you Grandpa Joe, it was your loving nature and unconditional compassion that will be most missed.
May you rest peacefully in the Divine!!
Oceans of love

Grandpa Joe, where do I start? Thank you first, for being our grandfather and for all the love and laughs, thank you for believing in me when I was younger and lost and didn't know what or where I was going. You always told me "I'm not worried about you, you'll be alright" and you were right. It helped me to understand my middle stepson during his period of questioning, I m not worried about you.... you were right again.
I remember when Nonnie sat on our patio in Calif in 1977 writing you letters everyday and how we would razz her for having a boy friend, she would tell us about you and felt like we knew you before we met. We met you 2 years later in 1979 when we stayed with you guys for 3 weeks( lucky you) you reminded us of Mel from the tv show Alice except you were way cooler. Your love for life was an inspiration, you enjoyed life to the fullest and made everyone around you better people, you were NEVER at a loss for words and your countless stories were always the funniest and the best. My 2 favorites are the That's Nice instead of BS (use that one all the time) and the KISS ( keep it simple stupid). It seemed like you knew everyone in the world, no matter where we went you knew someone, you were an amazing Guitar player and I remember you playing for hours to Caitlen when she was 9 months and how she would watch you the whole and then clap when you stopped all the time with big smiles on both your faces. Thank you for loving and marrying our Nonnie and being part of our family, you two were so funny together, I know she is like living with Lucy and your were Definatly Ricky, nothing phased you and you'd always give us a wink and a smile when you'd zing her in loving fun, which was usually after she told you to be quite lol
Thank you for showing me that love has no boundaries especially with families when you marry in, it helped me to under stand my step children and to love them unconditionally, thank you for teaching me that the only steps in a house are the stairs.
You will be missed beyond words but I'll always remember your smile your laugh and your love.
Love you Curt

Joe Jr. and Family
So sorry for your loss. We again loose another Veteran that we want to respect
for giving us the freedom we enjoy today. He sure was the avid outdoorsman and
his involvement with the Elks and others. He is the Father that most would loved
to have. Bless you and your entire family for sticking by your father.

May God rest the soul of Joe Mangano, Sr. and keep him in his everlasting care. Joe was a good soul. He has good children whom I have been friends with for 43 years now. One of them, Joe,Jr. married my Sister Sue. Sue, me, Joe,Sr. & Joe, Jr. were all dreaming of visiting Italy together one day, but that never came to be. I and many of Joe, Sr.'s friends will miss him. My Condolences, prayers and deep sympathy to the Mangano Family. May they be comforted and consoled knowing that when God gave Joe to us God did not lose him. When God took Joe back home, we did not lose him.
