Obituary of Paul K. Burstrom

Paul K. Burstrom, 77, of Buffalo St. Ext. Jamestown, NY passed away at 1:09 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born October 26, 1940 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Knut R. and Lillian M. Quisimberto Burstrom. He was a 1958 graduate of Jamestown High School. Before his retirement he was a self employed route carrier delivering the Jamestown Post Journal for several years. In previous years he had worked at the former Crescent Tool Company, Chautauqua Hardware Corporation and Reliance Mold and Die. He will be remembered as one who loved being a dad and grandpa and had a keen interest in cars. He especially loved his 1957 Thunderbird. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Essie A. Jeziorski Burstrom whom he married October 16, 1965, five sons, Paul K. (Phuong) Burstrom of West Minster, CA, Knut P. (Laura) Burstrom of Falconer, NY, Christopher A. Burstrom of Jamestown, NY, T. Scott Burstrom, J. Michael (Sue Wilson) Burstrom both of Gastonia, NC, seven grandchildren, Logan E. Burstrom of Columbus, OH, Erin L. Burstrom of Enfield, CT, Kelsey D. Burstrom, Amanda A. Burstrom both of San Jacinto, CA, Knut C. Burstrom of Falconer, Payton A. Burstrom, Alyanna A. Burstrom both of Jamestown, a sister, Anna Tilaro of Lakewood, NY and a brother, Knute Burstrom of Maryville, TN. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
