I have very happy memories of Rae, especially during the early 80s, when - having been introduced by her mother, Trudy (from whom I rented a room in her NYC apartment) - I stayed with her in her Pawtucket house. I was writing my first novel and she was painting her beautiful carousel horses. We shared wonderful times, driving around Rhode Island in her Mustang, Rae helping me with my research and generally having fun and learning from each other. Rae was a warm, generous, talented friend, and though we lost touch for many years, I was happy to be reconnected in recent times via our friend Dave Balfour, a local historian and RI broadcaster.
I am very sad to hear of her passing, and send condolences to her cousins. I shall dig into old photo albums and remember her.

A few years ago I taught a Bible Study at Covenant Manor. Rae attended and offered many insights and occasional humorous comments. I enjoyed getting to know her and am sorry to hear that she has passed away.

To Rae's family,
Please accept my sincere condolences in Rae's passing. May God give you strength and peace during this grievious time. Rae and I graduated together and we always sat together in every homeroom class since our names both began with "W". She was a fantastic artist and I was pretty envious of her talent! Our classmates will always remember what a sweet friend she was.
Blessings,
Peggy Wiltsie Bullock

So sad to hear one of my very best childhood friends Suzie passed away. Spent many hours together playing and drawing. She loved horses and her art. We lost touch but you never forget your neighborhood playmates. I never knew her real name was Rae until high school, she was just Suzie.
